Brian D. Montgomery Joins KUITY Corp. Board of Directors

Former Federal Housing Commissioner and Assistant Secretary for Housing to Advise Analytics Company

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - June 21, 2010) -  KUITY Corp., a leading provider of operational risk and valuation advanced analytics, announced today that The Honorable Brian D. Montgomery has joined KUITY's Board of Directors. In this role he will provide strategic leadership and guidance for KUITY's strategy and go-to-market plans for its applied analytic solutions for the mortgage and housing sectors.

"There are endless prospects for analytics as commercial and government entities modernize policies and practices in the housing, mortgage and secondary market sectors," said Elizabeth McPhail, KUITY Corp.'s CEO. "Brian's expertise and insight will help ensure that KUITY is well positioned to capture those opportunities and deliver the right analytic solutions to these and other markets."

"Throughout my career I have actively sought opportunities to modernize and improve policies and practices in government, particularly in housing, mortgages and the secondary mortgage markets," said Montgomery. "I am excited to help the KUITY team bring to market analytic solutions that are well-suited to solve a wide array of challenges in these sectors undergoing rapid and significant change."

Montgomery is the Vice Chairman of The Collingwood Group LLC, a Washington, DC based business advisory firm designed to serve the needs of corporate and government entities seeking new lines of business or strategic counsel on a range of issues within the mortgage industry, financial services, and secondary markets. In June 2005, Montgomery was confirmed by the US Senate as Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) Commissioner within the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). In response to HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan's request at the start of the Obama Administration, Montgomery continued to serve in this role until July 2009, assisting with transition matters involving the Federal Housing Administration and subprime mortgage crisis.

Under his leadership as FHA Commissioner, Montgomery created a bill designed to modernize the Federal Housing Administration and provide low and moderate-income borrowers safe home ownership options at a fair price. The Modernization Bill passed the House of Representatives in 2006 with bipartisan support and ultimately passed the Senate in July 2008. Montgomery also led HUD's efforts to reform the 30-year-old Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA). The new rule was the culmination of years of effort by HUD to provide more transparency and consumer protections during the loan settlement process.

Montgomery previously served on multiple boards including the Federal Housing Finance Board (2005-2008), the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 Oversight Board (2008-2009), and NeighborWorks America Board where he also served as Chair of the Corporate Administration Committee (2005-2009). Among many awards and recognition, Montgomery received the Robert J. Coretta Award for Achievement in Affordable Housing and the National Association of Hispanic Realtors Chairman's Award, both in 2008.

Prior to his appointment with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, Montgomery served in the White House as Deputy Assistant to the President and Cabinet Secretary from 2003-2005 as well as Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Advance from 2001-2003. While serving in the White House, Montgomery contributed to many policy development initiatives including efforts to increase access to affordable housing. Following the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster, Montgomery led a White House working group to monitor all aspects of the accident investigation. For his role in this effort, Montgomery was awarded the NASA Exceptional Service Medal in 2004.

Previously, Montgomery held senior level positions at both the Texas Department of Commerce and Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs between 1995 and 1999. From 1990 until 1993 he served in the Executive Office of President George H.W. Bush at the White House. Earlier in his career, Montgomery spent several years as a marketing executive in the chemical processing industry. Montgomery is a graduate of the University of Houston and also attended the University of Texas.
