BroadSoft to Share Its SIP Trunking Expertise in Workshops at ITEXPO East

Attendees to Learn How to Maximize IP PBX Investments; Can Qualify for SIP Trunking Certification

GAITHERSBURG, MD--(Marketwire - January 21, 2008) - BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that it is presenting and moderating discussions in the Ingate SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) Trunking workshop series at this year's ITEXPO East at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami.

The event runs from Jan. 23 to 25, and draws representatives from service providers, large enterprises, SMBs and government agencies who want information about how to select and deploy IP-based voice, video, fax and unified communications.

BroadSoft participants in the workshop series are Curtis Hartmann, director of Product Management, and Mark Enstrom, product manager. Enstrom will also speak at the SIP Forum's SIPconnect™ workshop, "Lessons Learned from Implementing SIPconnect," scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25.

"BroadSoft participates in these events to promote the adoption of SIP as the standard in voice communications," said Enstrom, who was recently named to the SIP Forum Board of Directors. "ITEXPO is a place where service providers and enterprises come to learn more about services that subscribers want. It's a good environment for sharing information about SIP Trunking within the Internet telephony industry."

Part 1 of the Ingate workshop series, "SIP Trunking Professional Development Program," is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 23. BroadSoft will participate in the workshop, "Introduction to SIP Trunking," which will cover the benefits and architecture of SIP Trunking. The workshop will also include a live demo of a SIP trunk deployment. BroadSoft will also participate in the workshop, "SIP Trunking - The Service Provider Perspective."

Attendees that participate in all three of the Part 1 workshops will receive a "Certified SIP Trunking Professional" certificate.

Part 2 of the series, "Shattering the Myths of SIP Communications," is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 24. During this part of the series, BroadSoft's Enstrom will moderate the workshop, "Myth: SIP Trunking Is a Dead End."
