Broadcore Unity Expands Key Voice and Data Capabilities of Broadcore's Hosted Unified Communications Platform to Include Instant Messaging (IM), Presence, and 6-Way Calling

MARINA DEL REY, CA--(Marketwire - November 17, 2009) - Broadcore, a provider of hosted unified communications service for businesses, announced Broadcore Unity, a set of expanded solutions for its integrated IP communications platform. Broadcore Unity combines key voice and data communications elements designed to help businesses optimize their business processes and improve employee productivity. "We are very excited to provide expanded unified communications capabilities to our business customers," said Monty Ferdowsi, Broadcore's CEO. Broadcore Unity combines various elements of data and voice communications including Call Control, IM, Presence, and 6-Way Calling accessible through an intuitive, icon-based Windows client.

Presence: users can configure their system to display real-time status of colleagues, visually reflecting their phone status as ringing, engaged, unavailable, and available, thereby improving employee productivity and group collaboration.

IM: users can IM colleagues in various geographic locations without the need to create a new account or opening a separate application.

6-way calling: users can perform ad hoc 6-way calling by including up to 5 other participants in a single call session through a visual desktop tool allowing for optimum collaboration among employees, customers, or suppliers.

Broadcore Unity also provides expanded call control so that users can manage multiple calls through call control buttons on their desktop, as well as click-to-dial from their Outlook contacts or company directories. Broadcore Unity supports integration with LDAP compliant and SQL directories (including Active Directory and Lotus Notes) to provide contact lookup from a single interface. Other capabilities include in-depth service and profile configuration from the desktop.
