Brookstreet Hotel's 7th Annual Lumiere Gala Presents All-Round Highlights

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 23, 2009) - The Brookstreet Hotel's seventh annual Lumiere Gala on Wednesday, June 24, is set to play host to 200 guests, including prominent members of the National Capital Region's corporate community and sports leaders.

The gala has distributed more than $170,000 to local charitable organizations in its first six years. The Sens Foundation will be a beneficiary of this year's event, with the funds directed to support the its commitment to Ottawa residential youth treatment centres and school-based education and prevention programs through a fundraising campaign entitled Project s.t.e.p.

The Lumiere Gala hosts, Brookstreet chairman Terry Matthews and executive vice-president and general manager Patrice Basille, will welcome noted guests such as Ottawa Police Services chief Vernon White, Sens Foundation president Danielle Robinson, Ottawa Senators president and CEO Roy Mlakar and COO Cyril Leeder.

The evening begins at 7 p.m. with food and wine stations prepared by Brookstreet Hotel executive chef Clifford Lyness. The gala's master of ceremonies, Stuntman Stu of Team 1200 radio, gets the official part of the evening underway with introductions. Guests will enjoy silent auctions and the music of Ottawa's own Diane White and Roxy Swan. The gala wrapsup at 9:45 p.m. with a fireworks display.
