BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - May 5, 2010) - Boise, Idaho's Built to Spill, one of modern rock's most endearing and enduring iconic rock mainstays, have confirmed a string of shows with Kings of Leon which begin in Chula Vista, CA on July 9 and end in Bristow, VT on Aug.7. Additional headline dates will also be announced shortly.
Built to Spill will once again tour in support of their current Warner Bros. Records album, There Is No Enemy, their seventh, which was recorded in Los Angeles and released last October.
Vocalist/guitarist Doug Martsch spent three and a half years writing the songs, which he recorded with bassist Brett Nelson, drummer Scott Plouf, guitarist Jim Roth, and guitarist Brett Netson. There Is No Enemy is the band's first album since 2006's You In Reverse. Previous studio albums include 2001's Ancient Melodies of the Future, 1999's Keep It Like A Secret, and their major-label debut, 1997's Perfect From Now On.
