Bullfrog Power™ now Provides a 100 Per Cent Local Wind Power Choice in B.C.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Nov. 25, 2009) - Bullfrog Power, Canada's 100 per cent green electricity provider, announced today that its customers in British Columbia are now bullfrogpowered with 100 per cent locally produced wind power, ultimately doing their part to help Canada achieve a cleaner energy future. In October, Bear Mountain Wind Park was commissioned and connected to the British Columbia electricity grid, making it the first project in B.C. to deliver wind power to the regional grid. By choosing 100 per cent local wind power, bullfrogpowered homes and businesses in B.C. are reducing their environmental impact and demonstrating support for the development of new renewable generation in the province.

"We're thrilled that the Bear Mountain Wind Park is now supplying B.C., giving our customers a 100 per cent local wind choice," said Tom Heintzman, President, Bullfrog Power. "By signing on with Bullfrog, homes and businesses in B.C. are setting an example for friends, neighbours, business leaders and policy makers, and sending a powerful message that new renewable energy is important to our environment and our economy."

Bullfrog Power is the only company that enables British Columbians to choose 100 per cent clean, local wind power rather than electricity from higher impact hydroelectric generation facilities or fossil fuel-powered sources. The generation facilities supplying Bullfrog Power are all certified under Environment Canada's EcoLogo(M) program to ensure that they are emissions free and have a minimal impact on the environment. Across Canada, thousands of homes and businesses have made the decision to become bullfrogpowered and are doing their part to address climate change and air pollution.

About Bullfrog Power

Bullfrog Power, Canada's 100 per cent green electricity provider, offers homes and businesses a clean, renewable electricity choice. Bullfrog's electricity comes exclusively from wind and hydro facilities that have been certified as low impact by Environment Canada under its EcoLogo(M) program instead of from polluting sources like coal, oil, natural gas, and nuclear. Thousands of Canadian homes and businesses are doing their part to address climate change and air pollution by switching to green electricity with Bullfrog Power. Many ENGOs (environmental non-governmental organizations) and non-profits, including The David Suzuki Foundation, WWF-Canada and The Pembina Institute, have also bullfrogpowered their premises to show their support for advancing renewable energy.
