Butterfinger Seeks Online Superstars with its 'Make the Most of Any Moment' User-Generated Video Contest

LOS ANGELES--(Collegiate Presswire - September 28, 2006) - Calling all class clowns, videophiles, entertainment hopefuls, film students and YouTube fanatics! In an effort to satisfy creative minds in search of an opportunity to share their video-making skills, Butterfinger announces a national online video contest called "Make the Most of Any Moment." Launching tomorrow, people are invited to submit original video creations at's dedicated Butterfinger group page for a chance to win an "Ultimate Mobile Movie Studio" and possibly jump start their career as Hollywood's "next big thing." The goal is to portray how they use Butterfinger, and its ubiquitous "Finger" icon, to make the most of life's most mundane moments.

Whether sitting in the doctor's office, drooling in class or waiting in line at the DMV, aspiring videographers and novices are encouraged to use their own creative interpretation and irreverent talent to create original video shorts to capture and redefine the moments that bore us the most. Judges will be looking for the nation's wittiest video submissions, narrowing YouTube's contest submissions to a group of top ten finalists. The top ten film superstars will have their flicks posted on, at which point it's up to America to vote for its favorite. The grand prize winner will be awarded an "Ultimate Mobile Movie Studio," which includes a state-of-the-art camera and video editing equipment package.

Contestants are encouraged to keep the content light and humorous, and must incorporate Butterfinger, the candy bar itself and/or the "Finger" icon. Videos of a questionable nature will be disqualified and tossed in the round file. Good looks won't get you everywhere, but a creative portrayal of how Butterfinger "makes the most of any moment" could. Contestants may download digital Butterfinger imagery and contest rules and regulations at The deadline for video submissions is November 1, 2006.
