C-COM Hosts Vietnamese Delegation at Their Facility

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2009) - C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CMI) will be hosting a high level delegation from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam (MoPS) on Wednesday August 26th, at their facilities located at 2574 Sheffield Road, Ottawa.

The occasion is for the official hand over of the 30 iNetVu® auto-pointing satellite antenna systems which have been ordered by MoPS and are being shipped to Vietnam. The satellite antenna systems will be deployed across Vietnam and will greatly enhance the capability of the MoPS to deal with emergency communications.

This is the first and also the largest government procurement from Vietnam for this kind of equipment. Vietnam is a fast growing economic power house in the Asia Pacific region. The recent successful launch of its first satellite, Vinasat-1, opens up the satellite market in Vietnam for many new applications and C-COM is one of the first beneficiaries of this development.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, Ontario, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as Industry Canada will be attending to meet with the Vietnamese officials. We expect the Ambassador from Vietnam or one of his representatives to also attend. Journalists from the Ottawa region have also been invited.

The following officials are expected to be present:

- Director General and Divisional Directors of the Communications Department, Ministry of Public Security (Police), Vietnam
