C.A. Bancorp Reminds Warrant Holders That Warrants Expire on January 26, 2007 at 4:30 p.m.

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 17, 2007) - C.A. Bancorp Inc.'s ("C.A. Bancorp" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BKP)(TSX VENTURE:BKP.WT) common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the ticker symbol "BKP". Its common share purchase warrants trade on the Exchange under the symbol "BKP.WT". Each warrant permits holders to purchase one common share of the Company at a price of $0.35 (the exercise price) until January 26, 2007 at 4:30 p.m. (local time in Calgary, Alberta and Toronto, Ontario).

Any warrant holder wishing to exercise its right to subscribe for common shares must surrender to Computershare Trust Company of Canada, 530 - 8th Avenue SW Suite 600, T2P 3S8 in the City of Calgary, Alberta or Computershare Trust Company of Canada, 100 University Avenue, M5J 2Y1, in the City of Toronto, Ontario prior to 4:30 p.m. local time in those cities:

1. A warrant certificate evidencing the warrants being exercised, with the exercise form on the reverse side thereof duly completed and executed by the holder or a duly authorized representative of such holder, if applicable; and

2. A certified cheque, bank draft or money order, in lawful money of Canada, payable to or to the order of the Computershare Trust Company of Canada in an amount equal to $0.35 multiplied by the number of common shares subscribed for by the holder.

The Company recommends that warrant holders who are considering exercising their warrants determine what actions they need to take as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline. This will in some, but not all, cases involve contacting the brokerage firm where the warrant holder maintains a brokerage account holding the holder's warrant certificates.

The warrants trade under normal settlement rules prior to January 23, 2007. Thereafter the warrants will only trade on a cash basis.

The TSX Venture Exchange will cease trading of the warrants at 12:00 noon (Toronto time), on January 26, 2007.
