CAA Rewards Program Saving Members Real Cash

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 6, 2009) - The ever-expanding Show Your Card & Save® rewards program run by the Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) is saving CAA members real cash.

"CAA's rewards program is unique as it offers members instant cash savings and CAA Dollars®, which can be put towards the cost of a CAA membership or other CAA products and services," says Jamie Patterson, manager of partnership programs for CAA. "Our rewards program can keep your money where it belongs - in your pocketbook."

CAA members can use their membership card to save at over 160,000 partner locations worldwide - a number that's growing daily. Through its international affiliates, the Show Your Card & Save program is one of the world's largest.

"CAA members save millions of dollars each year by using their membership cards," says Patterson. "We're the hidden gem of rewards programs and we're negotiating new offers with our partners to save our members more all the time."

To raise awareness about the many savings offered to members, CAA has launched a new contest called Connect & Win, available at The contest - which runs until December 4, 2009 - showcases selected partner savings through the use of an interactive memory game.

Members that enter the contest could win a $7,000 dream vacation grand prize or one of three additional prizes of $1,000 CAA Dollars®. Those without a CAA membership can also play for one of 25 CAA basic memberships.

Through the contest, Patterson hopes that more Canadians will learn about the unique savings offered through CAA membership.

"CAA offers a lot more than leading emergency roadside service," says Patterson. "With so many of our partners offering member-exclusive offers, it's quite possible to use your card to save hundreds of dollars a year and to earn enough CAA Dollars to pay for your membership - now that makes a difference."

To prove a point, Patterson notes that CAA members can save 30 per cent off eyeglasses or prescription sunglasses at LensCrafters. Members can also earn 20 per cent of their purchases at in CAA Dollars until October 31.

"The savings you will get are significant, and those are just two of the hundreds of products and services that you can obtain with the CAA card," says Patterson. "Stack those on top of a stay at a Best Western hotel, which offers CAA members up to 20 per cent off, and your membership pays for itself."
