CBS 3 to Televise Philly Fireworks Live at Midnight

Larry Mendte, Kathy Orr to Host New Year's Eve Special

PHILADELPHIA, PA--(Marketwire - December 26, 2007) - CBS 3 will broadcast Philadelphia's New Year's Eve fireworks, for the first time in the station's history, live at midnight on December 31st, President and General Manager Michael Colleran has announced.

Anchors Larry Mendte and Kathy Orr will host the spectacular display live from Penn's Landing as part of an hour-long New Year's Eve special airing from 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. on Channel 3. CBS 3's Susan Barnett will be reporting live from the Blue Cross RiverRink joining families as they watch the magical display of color choreographed to music simulcast by CBS 3 sister station KYW Newsradio 1060.

The broadcast will also take a year-end look at major events in entertainment, news and sports. Regional New Year's Eve celebrations will also be featured in addition to celebrity guests joining the on-air party.
