The ELIM-NOx SCR system developed by CCA is designed to reduce NOx emissions by 70% - 90% from class 5, 6, 7 & 8 on-road vehicles and off-road diesel vehicles. SCR technology is considered to be a leading technology to help diesel trucks and engines meet the stringent 2010 model year NOx emission standards. The ELIM-NOx SCR technology is proven to be commercially viable with over 20 field installations on on-road and off-road diesel engines and trucks. The ELIM-NOx system meters precise amounts of a non-hazardous, 32% by weight, aqueous urea solution, into the exhaust stream of the diesel engine. Once in the hot exhaust stream, the reagent decomposes to form ammonia and carbon dioxide. Ammonia mixes with the NOx and passes over an exhaust gas catalyst to turn ozone-forming NOx into water and nitrogen.
