Attention: Assignment Editor, Automotive Editor, City Editor, News Editor, Sports Editor TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2008) - The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame is presenting their second annual "Celebration of Speed' on Monday, August 11th with a track day for experienced drivers and a ride-along program for enthusiasts at Mosport International Raceway. Both race cars and street cars are welcome.

The cost is $375.00 per entrant payable to the CAC/Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame. All proceeds from the track day go to the Canadian Motorsport Heritage Group - Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame ("CMHF").

Many current and former drivers from the Rothmans Porsche Cup series, the ALMS, Indy Racing League, Grand Am Cup, Nascar and Trans Am will be there to provide advice or swap tales of their racing exploits - and who knows - maybe ride along with you for a lap or two!! Or better yet - take you for a ride. Enthusiasts are very welcome to join us and are encouraged to go along for a 'ride' with some very well known racers in some very exciting automobiles!! Confirmed guest drivers for the 'Ride-along' program are Bill Adam, Pierre Bourque, David Empringham, Chris and Rick Bye with Scott Goodyear and James Hinchcliffe.

Ride-along tickets will be available at the track for a nominal donation of $25 for three hot laps or $60 for 3 outings.

Charitable receipts will be available for both the lapping entrants and the ride-along program.

The CMHF is a charitable organization raising money for a permanent location to house their archives, race cars, motorcycles and speed boats.
