ATHENS, GREECE--(Marketwire - June 1, 2007) - Mr. Lavrentis Lavrentiadis, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the LAVRENTIADIS GROUP OF COMPANIES (LADET GA, NEOCHI GA, VETER GA with the last two in a merger process), will represent Greece in the World Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 Awards Ceremony organized by Ernst & Young in Monte Carlo between May 31 and June 2, 2007.
According to the relevant announcement, it is the first time a Greek entrepreneur has participated in this unique international ceremony which awards entrepreneurial activity, and which is organized for the 6th year in a row by Ernst & Young.
Mr. Lavrendiadis, who was elected Greek Businessman of the Year for 2006 in the respective Hellenic Awards ceremony, will face competition by other distinguished entrepreneurs from 40 countries from all over the world.
The evaluation of candidates will be performed by a committee consisting of internationally distinguished businessmen, most of whom have been elected as Entrepreneurs of the Year in their own countries.
With their participation in the Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 contest, candidates are entering into the "World Entrepreneur of the Year Academy," the international business forum Ernst & Young has set up with the purpose of reshaping the traditional way of thinking about the entrepreneurial activity.
