CORRECTION FROM SOURCE/Media Advisory: Availability With Task Force Commander Operation Bronze (Bosnia-Herzegovina)/Close Out Ceremony

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2010) -

A correction from source is being issued with respect to the release sent out earlier today. The corrected version follows.

To recognize the end of the Canadian Forces (CF) deployment in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a close out ceremony will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010, at NATO HQ SARAJEVO (Camp Butmir). LCol Pierre C. St-Laurent, the outgoing Task Force Commander, will be available for interviews.

Operation Bronze began in 2004 and was the last of a long series of missions in the central Balkan nation. The primary focus of Operation Bronze was to assist with defence reform, especially to facilitate the re-integration of Balkan war veterans into civil society, and the entry of Bosnia-Herzegovina into NATO's Partnership for Peace program.

Canadian and international media interested in attending the close out ceremony and/or conducting interviews with the outgoing Task Force Commander, are asked to contact the CF Media Liaison Office at 1-866-377-0811 or (613) 996-2353.

B-Roll footage of this historic event, captured by CF Combat Camera, will be available on March 29, 2010.
