CPI Announces Addition of Positive Options Ltd

CHESHIRE, UK--(Marketwire - April 1, 2010) -  The Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc. (CPI), an international training provider with offices in Cheshire, England, and Wisconsin, US, has acquired Positive Options Ltd (POL), a UK-based education and consultancy business headquartered in Stoke-on-Trent. The acquisition allows CPI and POL to continue the development and expansion of their current training platforms to deliver a wide range of complementary programmes and support services for staff serving a broad spectrum of service users. POL is committed to offering theoretical and practical response strategies to assist organisations and staff in providing care to vulnerable individuals who may have a variety of complex needs.

"Adding Positive Options Ltd to the CPI family will help in our quest to improve people's lives through a greater reach and wider base of training eminence," said CPI CEO Tony Jace. "We look forward to enhancing the Positive Options customer experience by accelerating investment in the core offering, Managing Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA®), and the other POL programmes."

The acquisition creates a partnership unrivaled in the behaviour management and violence-reduction training industry that greatly benefits current customers of both companies and the people they serve.

Noting that the underpinning philosophies of both companies and training values mesh very well with each other, POL Executive Director Chris Stirling said, "Partnering with CPI, which has an outstanding infrastructure for supporting ongoing training, is a powerful combination because it expands our opportunities to continue to offer high quality programmes and services that promote person-centred values."

Positive Options Ltd has been a leading provider of diagnostic services, education, and training since 2004, with more than 25,000 people attending its programmes each year. POL has provided outstanding service to a myriad of customers in the United Kingdom and elsewhere in Europe. For more information on POL, visit
