CUPE BC: Paramedics to Greet IOC Medical Director

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 24, 2009) - B.C.'s striking ambulance paramedics will greet IOC medical director Patrick Schamasch today at the Helijet in Richmond.

WHEN: Monday, August 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM

WHERE: 5911 Airport Road South
Richmond, BC V7B 1B5
(604) 273-4688

WHY: Ambulance paramedics have been on strike since April 1.
Chronic understaffing and long response times continue to
be the biggest issues paramedics want the government to
address. Paramedics want to ensure that the IOC's medical
director is aware of the broken system and the needless
risk to lives caused by the government's ongoing inaction.
