Call2Recycle Appoints Linda Biagioni to Board of Directors

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2009) - Call2Recycle®, the only free rechargeable battery and cell phone collection program in North America, has appointed Linda Biagioni to its board of directors. Biagioni, who currently serves as vice president of environmental affairs for Black & Decker, was selected for her depth of knowledge in the battery manufacturing industry, as well as her ongoing commitment to corporate responsibility.

As a member of the board, Biagioni will be involved in shaping the overall strategic direction and advising growth strategies for the Call2Recycle program. She will play a key role in directing the organization as it develops standards of product stewardship in battery recycling, expands programs in the U.S. and Canada and maintains its position as the most successful rechargeable battery collection program in North America.

In her role as vice president of environmental affairs for Black & Decker, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of power tools and accessories, Biagioni is responsible for managing the environment, health and safety program for the corporation, including all environmental legal and regulatory matters. Throughout her career, she has served as chair of the Environment Management Council of the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, chair of the International Environment Forum of the World Environment Center and a director for the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association (PRBA).
