Canada Pavilion Coming to the Saskatoon Exhibition

SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN--(Marketwire - Aug. 5, 2008) - The Canada Pavilion will be featured at the Saskatoon Exhibition, from August 5 to 10, 2008.

"Our Government is pleased to present the Canada Pavilion for the second time at the Saskatoon Exhibition," said the Honourable Christian Paradis, Minister of Public Works and Government Services Canada and Secretary of State (Agriculture). "The Pavilion will provide an opportunity for Canadians and other guests visiting the exhibition to learn more about our great country and about our government's priorities."

This year's theme of the Canada Pavilion is the "Great Canadian North". Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about this vast territory, which covers a large area of Canada, through educational and visual displays such as an iceberg, a giant circumpolar map and the creation of an inukshuk. As well, visitors will be able to have their picture taken in a sea kayak.

The exhibit will also feature information on various government programs and services. Such information includes tips on how to avoid fraud when donating to non-profit organizations, as well as federal government career prospects, such as opportunities with the RCMP.

Bravo, Canada Pavilion's mascot will also be one hand to entertain the young and young at heart.

In 2008-2009, the Canada Pavilion will be visiting 10 communities across Canada. As the flagship exhibit of the Government of Canada Exhibitions Program, the Pavilion has won a number of prizes since its creation in 2000, and provided information to more than six million visitors in the Exhibitions Program's history.
