Canada Post: A Special Cancellation to Enhance Your Valentine's Day Wishes to Loved Ones!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 22, 2010) - Until February 14, the Saint-Valentin Postmaster will again cancel thousands of greeting cards, love letters and warm wishes with a cancellation specially designed for the occasion…It's a truly unique way to say:
« I love you ».

Last year, nearly 4000 messages and greeting cards were cancelled by the post office in Saint-Valentin, a charming municipality with 500 residents located along the Richelieu. The cards received there come not only from all over Quebec and other provinces but also from overseas. Every year, the cards are sent on to addressees in other parts of the world including the United States, France, Japan, and Germany … which just goes to show that love knows no boundaries!

Here is what you do to send your St-Valentine's Day wishes to a loved one:

♥ Properly address your greeting card and affix the appropriate postage;
♥ Insert your letter / greeting card in a larger envelope, again withthe correct postage and send it to the following address:

Liliane Baribeau, Postmaster
Saint-Valentin Post Office
Municipal Building
790 chemin 4e Ligne
Saint-Valentin QC J0J 2E0

DON'T WASTE ANY TIME! For any destination within the province, allow at least six working days for your card to reach Saint-Valentin, be cancelled with the special postmark and reach your loved one by February 14. Allow eight working days for a destination in another province.

HAPPY ST-VALENTINE'S DAY
