Canada Post: For Valentine's Day, Send our Bouquet of Flowers!

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 17, 2007) - St. Valentine's Day remains the perfect time to send love letters and greeting cards to the people we hold dear. And why not add a bouquet of flowers this year? Not your usual bouquet but a special bouquet in the form of a cancellation postmark designed especially for the occasion-an original way to say "I love you!" The Saint-Valentin postmaster is looking forward to acting as your accomplice, for the 14th year in a row and placing this cancellation mark on your declarations of love and friendship.

Last year, over 6,200 messages and greeting cards were cancelled by the post office in Saint-Valentin, a charming municipality with 500 residents located along the Richelieu. The cards received there come not only from all over Quebec and other provinces but also from overseas. Every year, the cards are sent on to their happy addressees in other parts of the world including the United States, France, Japan, and Germany ... which just goes to show that love knows no boundaries!

Here's how to send your greetings to someone special: properly address and place the correct postage on your greeting card, insert your greeting card into a larger envelope with the correct postage on it and send it to the following address: Claire Langevin, Postmaster, Saint-Valentin Post Office, Saint-Valentin, QC, J0J 2E0.

WRITE SOON! For addresses within the province, anticipate at least six working days for your greeting card to get to Saint-Valentin, be cancelled and then sent to your special someone in time for 14 February. It will take at least eight working days for addresses in other provinces.
