Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA)/Allergy Alert: Undeclared Clams in Knorr Soup du jour Brand Cream of Potato & Leek Soup Mix

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning people with allergies to clams not to consume Knorr Soup du jour brand Cream of Potato & Leek Soup Mix described below. The affected product may contain clams which are not declared on the label.

The affected product, Knorr Soup du jour brand Cream of Potato & Leek Soup Mix, product of USA, is sold in 639 g packages bearing UPC 0 68400 03780 4 and lot code RW3179. This product has been distributed through the following retail outlets:

There has been no reported illness associated with the consumption of this product.

Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to clams.

The importer, Unilever Canada, Toronto, ON, is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
