Canadian Heritage: Secretary of State Kenney Attends Opening of Dogwood Pavilion Over 50s Club

COQUITLAM, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Jan. 18, 2008) - The Honourable Jason Kenney, Secretary of State (Multiculturalism and Canadian Identity) will attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow to officially open the expanded Dogwood Pavilion Over 50s Club.

"Our Government is committed to promoting integration and social cohesion under a shared Canadian identity," said Secretary of State Kenney. "Canada's diversity is our greatest strength, and our Government encourages participation and involvement in society of Canadians of all ages and backgrounds."

The mandate of the Dogwood Pavilion is to facilitate active living opportunities among people over 50. The event will include an official ribbon-cutting, a lunch, and tours of the newly-expanded facility.
