The Canadian Toy Testing Council: The Leading Authority on Toys in Canada Announces the Top Toys of the Year November 5, 2007, Brookstreet Hotel 525 Legget Drive, Ottawa, On

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 23, 2007) - The Canadian Toy Testing Council (CTTC) is presenting the top toys of the year on Monday, November 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Brookstreet Hotel's Ballroom, Ottawa.

The CTTC is a non-profit organization with 55 years' experience of learning through play. The CTTC is dedicated to testing toys and providing families with the information necessary to make informed purchasing choices. "This year our children were up to the challenge of navigating through the "jungle" of toys to come up with the absolute best", says Leigh Poirier, CTTC Executive Director.

Over 1,000 of the Council's toy experts - children - play all year round testing hundreds of toys. The Council's specially trained volunteer families evaluate and rate toys for design, function, safety, battery consumption, durability, ease of assembly and most importantly, play value.

The testers will announce the CTTC/ENERGIZER BATTERY-OPERATED TOY OF THE YEAR, the CHILDREN'S CHOICE and BEST BET AWARDS as well as the GREAT BOOKS for Children.

The 2008 TOY REPORT will be published on the CTTC's website at www.toy-testing.org as of November 5, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.
