Carbon Design Systems to Demonstrate Revolutionary Products and Solutions at DAC 2007

Automatic Model Generation Enables Fast, Debuggable Virtual Prototypes

WALTHAM, MA--(Marketwire - May 30, 2007) - Carbon Design Systems, the leading supplier of tools for the automatic creation, validation, and deployment of virtual hardware models, announced today that it will be demonstrating its market-leading technology solutions at this year's Design Automation Conference (DAC) in booth 6870. Carbon's model generation technology automatically generates high speed software models directly from Register Transfer Language (RTL). These Carbon models enable pre-silicon software integration, accurate architectural tradeoffs and secure intellectual property distribution.

OnDemand Speeds Virtual Platforms

Each of Carbon's demonstrations will feature OnDemand, Carbon's recently announced performance technology which automatically accelerates virtual platforms while running software. OnDemand is a part of every Carbon model and enables firmware engineers to debug software problems at instruction set simulator speeds while retaining complete hardware accuracy.

Complete SystemC Platform

Carbon will be demonstrating a complete, SystemC-based virtual platform featuring integrated hardware and software debugging. This platform will showcase the speed with which a system model can be generated, executed and debugged using Carbon models combined with freely downloadable OSCI SystemC.

Partner Integrations

Multiple partner integrations will be highlighted in demonstrations at this year's DAC. Carbon's models will be showcased with ARM's SoC Designer, CoWare's Platform Architect, MIPS' MIPSsim and Synopsys' Virtio.

DAC Seminars

Carbon will be holding several educational sessions discussing methodologies for pre-silicon software integration and architectural profiling. These topics have been extremely successful during Carbon's webinar series. The 45-minute sessions will cover best practices for each topic and feature customer examples.
