Carlisle Goldfields Limited Announces Closing of Prospectus Offering

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 9, 2007) - Carlisle Goldfields Limited ("Carlisle") announces that, it has received a Final Receipt, dated December 28, 2006, for its Final Prospectus dated, December 27, 2006. A copy of the Prospectus may be found at

Carlisle raised aggregate gross proceeds of $4,364,828 by way of its initial public offering on the sale of 7,666,961 flow-through common shares at a purchase price of $0.55, and 296,000 units comprised of one common share and one half of one common share purchase warrant at a price of $0.50 per unit. Each warrant entitles the holder to acquire one common share of Carlisle at a price of $0.85 on or before June 30, 2008.

Wellington West Capital Inc. ("Wellington") acted as agent in connection with the initial public offering and received a commission of 8% of funds raised and agent's warrants equal to 10% of the number of flow-through shares and units sold. Each agent's warrant entitles Wellington to acquire one common share of Carlisle on or before June 30, 2008.
