Carton Donofrio Partners Names Ellen Moore Chief Executive Officer

Former Chief Operating Officer Represents Third Generation of Leadership at Integrated Advertising Agency

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - August 25, 2010) -  Carton Donofrio Partners, an integrated advertising agency in Baltimore, today announced it named Ellen Moore its chief executive officer. Moore, a ten-year Carton Donofrio Partners veteran who most recently held the position of chief operating officer, succeeds Chuck Donofrio. Donofrio will remain chairman of the company's board of directors, but plans to spend more time with his family and enjoying his passion for the outdoors.

"This announcement reflects a succession plan we've had in place for several years," said Donofrio. "Ellen is a phenomenal leader with great vision for where our industry is headed. She has the full confidence of the board to take our 46-year old agency into the future."

Carton Donofrio Partners was founded as Richardson, Myers & Donofrio (RM&D) in 1964 by Chuck Donofrio's father and Baltimore advertising legend Hal Donofrio. Chuck Donofrio has led the agency as its CEO since 1993.

"I'm honored that Chuck has entrusted me to lead the company that he and his father made into the strong, forward-looking agency it is today," said Moore. "I pledge to them -- as well as to our employees, clients, and partners -- that I will do all I can to build upon the tremendous foundation, galvanize our talented team, and catapult the agency into its next phase."

Moore will report to the board of directors and shares the responsibility for leading the agency with Jamie Rice, chief strategy officer, and Dennis McKernan, chief financial officer.

Moore joined Carton Donofrio Partners in 2000 after working with the agency as its client at WL Gore & Associates, the makers of GORE-TEX® fabric. In her most recent post as chief operating officer, she was responsible for organizational development, marketing, client service and strategy, and agency profitability. Prior to being named chief operating officer in 2008, Moore served as a vice president and group account leader for Carton Donofrio Partners.

Taking a leadership position in a family-owned business is not new to Moore. In 1996, she became president of Alanby - Outfitting for the Outdoors, an outdoor retailing business headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. Moore credits her consumer perspective to her days on the retail floor where she had to learn to understand what the customer really wanted rather than merely offer what she had to sell them.

Carton Donofrio Partners serves a wide range of consumer and business-to-business clients. During Moore's two-year tenure as COO, the firm won 10 new accounts including: EverBank, the leading online bank specializing in high-net worth customers; Shentel, a telecommunications firm and a Sprint PCS affiliate of Sprint Nextel; the Graduate Management Admissions Council, makers of the GMAT; and The National Coalition for Promoting Physical Activity, the leading force in the U.S. for promoting physical fitness.
