Casino Nova Scotia to Relaunch with a Bang

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(CCNMatthews - June 1, 2006) - Fireworks will light up the harbour tonight as Casino Nova Scotia will celebrate its newly renovated entertainment and casino complex.

At a press conference earlier today Howard Blank, Vice President, Great Canadian Gaming Corporation (TSX:GCD) spoke, "It was one year ago today when Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, in cooperation with the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation, solidified the purchase of Casinos Halifax and Sydney, here in Nova Scotia. Blank continued, "Casino Nova Scotia tonight, will celebrate the culmination of efforts put forth by our entire team of dedicated staff and management from coast to coast. The collective efforts of those individuals and the cooperation and guidance of the Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation has enabled our company to proudly proclaim that the new Casino Nova Scotia has established herself as the premier entertainment destination unmatched to any similar-sized facility in Canada."

Casino Nova Scotia has been redesigned from floor to ceiling, promising its guests a variety of entertainment options. On the casino floor, guests will enjoy the latest in gaming technology. To accommodate the growing popularity of poker, Casino Nova Scotia also offers an expanded poker room. Food and beverage options are more plentiful as well, including: a new waterfront restaurant called Trapeze, the Java Jazz 24 hour cafe and the updated Paradise Buffet. Casino Nova Scotia's entertainment lounge will captivate guests on the main floor of the Casino, providing a showcase of Atlantic Canadian talent.
