Cast Iron Systems Reports 12th Consecutive Quarter of Growth

SaaS Application Vendors, Cloud Infrastructure Megabrands, and Growth in Core Business Continue to Drive Expansion

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - October 27, 2009) - Cast Iron Systems, the #1 SaaS and Cloud Integration Company™, today announced its 12th consecutive quarter of growth. Despite the global recession, Cast Iron's core business continued its strong growth, adding many marquis customers, including General Dynamics Information Technology, Griffin Technology, InContact, Olympus NDT, Precise Software, Ruckus Wireless, Sleep Health Centers, and Tableau Software, while existing customers returned for more products and services than ever.

"Cast Iron has emerged as the de facto integration standard based on our success in the enterprise market and extensive experience in SaaS and Cloud integration," said Ken Comée, CEO of Cast Iron Systems. "SaaS vendors and cloud megabrands recognize that Cast Iron can easily meet their fundamental need to connect with their customers' on-premise systems. It is this area of incremental growth that is funding our corporate and global expansion."

As SaaS adoption broadens from CRM to other mainstream business applications, Cast Iron's continued expansion has been further fueled by the company's collaboration with leaders in newer markets such as ADP, Success Factors and Taleo in human capital management, building on our established relationships with players in CRM, such as salesforce.com, Microsoft, and Oracle. In addition, strategic partnerships with cloud infrastructure megabrands such as Amazon, Google, and HP, are driving strong growth beyond Cast Iron's success with direct sales to enterprise customers. Sustained growth over three years is driving the company's expansion into Asia, Europe, and the Americas, with a new worldwide headquarters opening in Silicon Valley to accommodate the company's growth.

Over the last two years, Cast Iron's international presence has grown, and the company is now projecting sales to more new customers in a month than in the previous year. New international customers in Q3 include Bestin, a Spanish logistics company; Internode Systems, the Australian-owned, national Internet services provider; and Pentasoft, a cloud-based Spanish consultancy-services, SaaS technology, outsourcing, and precision-marketing group to name a few.

Powered By Cast Iron Partnerships Fuel Growth

In the third quarter of 2009, significant additional revenue came from the Powered By Cast Iron partner program. In addition to Success Factors and Taleo, new partners also include AGI Media, BigMachines, Blink Skin Care, Eloqua, Fujitsu, Tecnologia e Implementacion de Sistemas S.A. de C.V., and StarCite, among others.

"We looked at several integration solutions before deciding where to invest and partner to offer a SaaS integration platform and offerings," said Steve Wheeler, vice president of sales operations for StarCite. "Cast Iron offers a unique and proven expertise to help us extend our API roadmap as well as a simplified and packaged integration. Our customers have the need to integrate their meetings data to multiple business platforms and the need to have this integration in days as opposed to months."

The world's largest companies partner with Cast Iron:

Accelerating data migration and application integration: Amazon

On September 1st, Cast Iron announced that it is leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer customers a faster way to move enterprise applications to the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). The Cast Iron Cloud on Amazon EC2 enables customers to take advantage of the speed, reliability, and cost efficiency of Amazon EC2 within days. Cast Iron's preconfigured data migration and integration templates for hundreds of enterprise applications expedite customer on-boarding to AWS. The combination of Cast Iron and AWS gives customers the ability to benefit from cloud services as quickly as possible.

Connecting the channel to the Cloud: HP

"More and more, the infrastructure channel is looking for ways to deliver services that drive Cloud adoption, particularly in the mid-market," said Cast Iron CEO Comée. "While the integration of existing infrastructure and applications with the Cloud is essential, it must also be quick and affordable. That's where Cast Iron makes a major contribution."

In an on-going collaboration with HP, Cast Iron is offering integration services for small and midsize businesses (SMBs) looking to reduce costs by leveraging SaaS applications. The associated marketing and sales program, which includes training, is attracting many of HP's 25,000 value-added resellers (VARs) across the United States.

Building a bridge to the Cloud

"Cast Iron's integration solution is becoming the pivotal technology for enterprises moving their corporate infrastructure into the cloud," said Mark Kvamme, a venture capitalist at Sequoia Capital and member of Cast Iron's Board of Directors. "By delivering a strategic technology for SaaS ISVs and cloud infrastructure providers as well as enterprises, Cast Iron is in an excellent position to continue leading the integration market to the Cloud as the global economy recovers."
