Castillian Intersects 9.75 Meters Grading 3.14% Nickel and 1.44% Copper at the Mangabal South Nickel-Copper Deposit, Brazil Within 29.4 Meters Grading 1.27% Nickel and 0.72% Copper

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2008) - Castillian Resources Corporation (Castillian) (TSX VENTURE:CT) has intersected 29.4 meters grading 1.27% nickel, 0.72% copper, and 0.04% cobalt at the Mangabal South Deposit, this intersection includes 9.75 meters grading 3.14% nickel, 1.44% copper and 0.09% cobalt and also includes 9.85 meters grading 1.32% nickel, 0.43% copper and 0.04% cobalt in diamond drillhole CRMS-07-059 (estimated true widths are given in the table below). This intersection occurs at 18 meters vertical depth and confirms the extent of the high grade zone in the upper part of the Mangabal South Deposit.

Diamond drillhole CRMS-07-048 intersected 34.2 Meters grading 0.62% Nickel, 0.33% Copper, and 0.02% cobalt including 5.55 Meters grading 1.86% Nickel, 0.94% Copper and 0.06% cobalt (estimated true widths are given in the table below).

Joel Hrominchuk, P.Geo., the project manager, states "these results demonstrate continuity of the deposit in the up dip and down dip directions while confirming the high grade core from very near to surface in drill hole CRMS-07-059 to at least 450m along the plunge in drill hole CRMS-07-048. Continued successful drilling along the dip and along the plunge of the deposit continues to increase the volume and intersect good grade mineralization and therefore should have a positive impact on the tonnes and grade of the ongoing resource calculation."

Assay results for six recently drilled holes from the Mangabal South Deposit including holes CRMS-07-041 and CRMS-07-045 are summarized in the following table (see releases dated May 16, April 24, July 4, July 24, Sept 18, and Oct 4, 2007 for previously released drill results) See Figure 1 for pierce point locations.

Assays are currently pending for eighteen additional drill holes on the Mangabal South deposit and will be reported as results become available. Castillian is currently drilling with two drill rigs on the Mangabal South Deposit.

Quality Control

The company employs a QA/QC protocol on all aspects of the analytical procedures. Core samples are sawn and one half of the NQ core is restored to the core box for future reference and one half of the core is sent for analysis. Samples are taken in approx. 1.0-metre intervals or less. Sample preparation is completed at the SGS Lakefield preparation lab in Goiania, Brazil and assayed at ALS-Chemex lab in Vancouver, Canada or SGS Lakefield Lab in Belo Horizonte, Brazil using multi-acid digest/ ICP-AES and AAS techniques. A blank sample is inserted every 40th sample and standard samples representing a range of grades are inserted at intervals of 1 in 20 samples. Five percent of pulps are re-analyzed at SGS Laboratory Services in Belo Horizonte, Brazil or ALS Chemex Lab in Vancouver, Canada. This is the same QA/QC protocol that was employed by Falconbridge (now Xstrata) in operating the project.

The Quality Control and all aspects of the exploration program is supervised by Castillian Exploration Manager, Joel Hrominchuk, P.Geo., who is a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101.
