Castle Cover's Jobs Site Goes Interactive

POOLE, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - July 31, 2009) - UK Over 50s Insurance Specialist Castle Cover started with 26 employees back in July 2006 as a brand new business with no customers. Three years on and they now have around 250,000 customers and just over 300 employees!

They are now a major provider of jobs in Bournemouth, Poole and the surrounding areas. Currently their major source of job applicants is through recommendations by their employees. This is supplemented by their own dedicated recruitment site which can be accessed through the main Castle Cover web site or simply by entering a basic search like "jobs in Poole" through Google or Yahoo.

They also utilise other web job boards such as Monster, Fish 4 jobs and BHJobs, recognising that many people these days prefer to use the web for an insurance jobs search.

The Castle Cover recruitment site is now distinguishing itself in the recruitment market by using cutting edge web technology to create an interactive multi media video presentation starring a number of employees. The videos show real members of staff talking face to face and honestly about their careers at Castle Cover.

This allows potential candidates to get a real flavour of the Castle Cover working environment whilst animation reveals a view inside the modern offices that show work areas and the break out facilities where staff can kick back, surf the internet, or simply watch the telly on their breaks, all to the backdrop of stunning harbour views. Potential candidates can also use the website to upload their CV and covering letter outlining why they feel they would be suitable for the role.

All successful candidates go through a comprehensive induction where they learn about the products and how to use the latest, industry-leading systems and telephony. They will then learn further skills such as selling and objection handling which will enable them to take live calls and sell Home or Motor insurance.

Development has also been key to their success. Castle Cover has been accredited by Edexcel to be able to deliver BTEC qualification programmes internally which are nationally recognised and portable. The stages are broken down to 4 levels and are a career path in to Contact Centres; the highest level is degree equivalent. All employees are supported and funded through their education by the company as they understand the importance of investing in their people.
