Cavium Networks' OCTEON™ Processors Power H3C's SMB and Internet Café Router Products

H3C Utilizes Cavium OCTEON Processors in a Series of Products to Leverage Scalability, Performance and Low Power

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - November 5, 2007) - Cavium Networks (NASDAQ: CAVM), a leading provider of highly integrated semiconductor products that enable intelligent processing for networking, communications, storage and security applications, today announced that H3C, one of the world's leading IP technology and solution providers, has designed Cavium's OCTEON processors in a broad range of products targeting the SMB, Café Router and Service Provider markets. H3C has selected Cavium's processors as a key component for its Open Application Architecture (OAA) due to its leading application performance, broad scalability, and low power consumption.

Cavium Networks' single and dual core OCTEON processors power H3C's entire line of ER5000 and ER3000 series routers that have been announced and have started initial production. The ER series of routers is targeted at the high growth China Internet Café Router and SMB markets and delivers high performance for a variety of features including L2-L3 protocols, QoS, NAT, Firewall and VPN. Additionally, H3C has designed Cavium multi-core processors into Service Provider Media Gateway products.
