Chartwell Appoints New Director

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 18, 2010) - Chartwell Technology Inc. ("Chartwell" or the "Company") (TSX:CWH), a leading provider of games, gaming systems and platform for the regulated online and remote gaming industry announces the addition of Mr. Ted Konyi to the Company's board of directors. Mr Konyi has also been appointed to the audit committee of the board of directors.

Mr. Konyi, President and CEO of Maxwell Mercantile Inc., has been involved in the start-up and growth phases of 15 corporations, primarily in the technology and energy industries over his 25 years experience as a financial entrepreneur.
