Chartwell Strengthens International Team With Addition of Mr. Dan Phillips

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Aug. 12, 2009) - Chartwell Technology Inc. ("Chartwell") (TSX:CWH), a leading provider of gaming software systems and entertainment content to the online and remote industry is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Dan Phillips as VP Operations of Chartwell Games (International) Ltd., its wholly owned subsidiary. Mr. Phillips is based in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Phillips brings to Chartwell an impressive range of experience in the gaming industry. Mr. Phillips began his career with Ladbrokes where he spent seven years in land-based Casino operations. Following his tenure with Ladbrokes, Mr. Phillips spent eight years with the GalaCoral Group in their online gaming division, where he last held the position of Gaming Director with responsibility for Casino, Bingo, TV and Poker operations across multiple channels.
