China's Consumer Price Index Increases 6.5% in October, an Industrial Info News Alert

BEIJING--(Marketwire - November 21, 2007) - Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- The consumer price index (CPI) in China rose by 6.5% in October compared with the same period last year. The CPI in urban and rural areas was up 6.1% and 7.2%, respectively; the price of foodstuff, non-foodstuff, consumable goods and services increased 17.6%, 1.1%, 7.8% and 2.3%, respectively. Compared with 6.2% in September, the CPI increased 0.3 percentage points, the National Bureau of Statistics of China announced on November 13, 2007.
