Chris Hayes Named CMO of Young & Rubicam North America

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - August 19, 2010) -  Tom Sebok, President & CEO of Young & Rubicam, North America, announced today the appointment of Chris Hayes to Chief Marketing Officer. Hayes will assume broad responsibility for all marketing initiatives involving North America. He succeeds Mitch Caplan, and will report directly to Sebok in New York headquarters.

Hayes joins from Euro RSCG 4D, where he was marketing director, Europe, based in Amsterdam, as well as Global Brand Director on the agency's Unilever account. A native of Connecticut, Hayes is a seasoned marketing strategist and global business leader with more than 15 years of integrated marketing experience across the digital, mobile, social and traditional media landscape. At Euro RSCG 4D, Chris led the agency's successful new business pitches for major brands such as Unilever and Danone and Adidas. He also launched a social media division and secured high-profile projects with The United Nations. Prior, he served as founder/CEO of Barc LLC, a major skincare line focused on the urban male market with distribution in over 150 retail outlets across the U.S. and Europe. Earlier in his career he spent nearly five years at Euro RSCG Worldwide, responsible for multidisciplinary interactive campaigns for a variety of clients including MTV, VH1, Miramax and Microsoft.
