Christina Martin Works Backstage With Saliva, Seether, Sickpuppies, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin
Martin Dresses the Bands Backstage at Sold-Out Pointfest Concert Attended by 22,500
ST LOUIS, MO--(Marketwire - October 3, 2007) - Rock-inspired fashion designers were featured
in the hands of Christina Martin, dressing the headlining artists at
Pointfest. Backstage at the main stage, Christina Martin hosted the
artists' area where designers like Travesty, Lipstick Prophets,
DCVR-Deceiver, Vicious, J & Company, Rockbands, Bill Wall, Pike, Marceau,
Steve Madden and Caffeine Culture -- as well as brands including Joico,
Fairytale Brownies, Veev, Alterna and Urban Aid -- placed samples directly
with the musicians. Over the course of the all-day show, Martin dressed
rock stars including Seether, Saliva, Sickpuppies, Breaking Benjamin, Three
Days Grace, Copperview, Shaman's Harvest, The Starting Line, Hurt and
Evan's Blue.
"Some of my favorite characters were definitely Sean (Seether), Neil (Three
Days Grace), Johnny (Saliva) and Aaron (Breaking Benjamin)," Martin
reflects, "they were especially fun and really stood out as individuals."
Part of Martin's role, in partnership with the radio station, involves
lining up the companies and products for the artists' area. "What we'd
really like to see happen in 2008 is to finalize all the sponsorship in
January when most corporate budgets are allocated for the entire year
ahead," explains Martin, adding, "What we do backstage at Pointfest is
about the most creative, direct, effective, unique and specifically rock n
roll branding/publicity opportunity out there." Put on by KPNT 105.7 The
Point in St Louis, this was the 22nd Pointfest in a row and took place at
Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre. With 29 bands in the line-up, the concert had
been sold out for weeks and was attended by 22,500 concert-goers.
More pictures and footage from backstage will be up soon on Equity's
