Christmas Cards Retailer Cardstore.com Announces Silliest Halloween Costume Contest Winners

BERKELEY, CA--(Marketwire - October 29, 2009) - Christmas cards and holiday cards, retailer Cardstore.com officially announced their Silliest Halloween Costume Contest winners last night during a lively Twitter Kickoff Party. The 1980s stole the show as 2 out of the 3 winners highlighted beloved characters from '80s movie classics. The grand prize winner was a modern take on the Short Circuit Johnny 5 robot, while runner up winners included the Zoltar carnival game from the Tom Hanks' movie 'Big' and an adorable baby gnome.

During the Twitter Kickoff Party, Cardstore.com not only gave away prizes to the contest winners, but also rewarded a few lucky attendees with gift cards and stationery for answering Halloween trivia. Cardstore.com's Halloween entertainment experts hosted the discussion, which ranged from ways to avoid overindulging on candy (buy candy you don't like or freeze leftover candy for future baking needs) to tips on what to do with left over jack-o-lanterns (compost or donate them to your local zoo to feed to the animals).

The Cardstore.com Silliest Costume Contest Giveaway Winners were also announced on the Cardstyle blog today. Five lucky people won gift cards for Kohls, Olive Garden and Blockbuster. Visit Cardstyle, Cardstore.com's blog, at www.cardstore.com/cardstyle-blog/ to see the full list of winners.
