The mobile medical-information system is a milestone in Chung Shan's vision to harness technology for humanity and enable the hospital to be a pioneer in the next wave of health care in Taiwan. The hospital plans to add even more services and applications onto the wireless network.

- Chung Shan's wireless network connects more than 800 nurses and 70 medical carts, allowing the staff to rapidly transfer and access high volumes of image-rich medical data such as X-rays and patient records.
- The nurses use the network to relay live and synchronized information at the nursing station and ward areas, using high-resolution digital images to confirm medicines and dosages, lowering error rates and raising the quality of patient care.
- The mobile medical-information system monitors the inventory in the nursing carts, enabling administrators to control the medical supplies as well as anticipate shortages in inventory.
