Cincom to Kick Off Smalltalk Technology Conference World Tour in Seattle

Dynamic Languages and Cost Conscious Software Development to Be Discussed

CINCINNATI, OH--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - Cincom Systems announces its next Smalltalk Technology Conference world tour, which kicks off January 21 with a stop in Seattle, Washington.

The free half-day conferences (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will begin with a preview of a brief webcast on cost conscious software development which featured Gartner analyst Tom Murphy who discussed the value of dynamic languages. Cincom's Suzanne Fortman will then speak of Smalltalk in particular.

"The conference presentations will cover how other successful companies have used Smalltalk to increase their revenues and productivity with the simplicity and flexibility of the product," Fortman said. "We'll be covering the value of Smalltalk through other successes."

Attendees will also be able to interact with Smalltalk gurus Georg Heeg, James Robertson, Arden Thomas and Andreas Hiltner who will outline specific ways Smalltalk can help outmaneuver the competition.

The conference tour will also stop in Toronto, Ontario on Jan. 26, the Washington, D.C. Metro area on Jan. 28, London on March 2, and Paris on March 4. All conferences take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. local time.
