City of Leduc Issues Fire Ban...

LEDUC, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 14, 2010) - City of Leduc Fire Services issued a fire ban on April 14, 2010, due to the current extreme dry conditions. Existing dry weather conditions pose a risk of danger to the community which warrants a fire ban.

The fire ban does not include propane or natural gas barbeques. All other burning of fuels is not permitted including; backyard fire pits and open air burning, until further notice.

"With extreme dry weather conditions we must take every precautionary measure to ensure the safety of our residents. The City of Leduc Fire Services department has issued the ban in the best interests of our community," explains Chief Ernie Polsom, City of Leduc Fire Services. 

In addition, fire permits previously issued are now temporarily suspended.
