City of Toronto, Mayor David Miller Proclaims September 12-16 "MOBILEINNOVATIONWEEK"

Over 100 mobile industry expert speakers featured in three events in Toronto September 12 - 16, 2009

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 11, 2009) - Today, Mayor David Miller and the City of Toronto proclaims September 12-16, 2009 MOBILEINNOVATIONWEEK to recognize a landmark event for the mobile industry. Anchor events include FITC Mobile, Mobile Media World 09 and the MobileBiz BootCamp. Mayor Miller will be on site to deliver the opening address at Mobile Media World 09 on Tuesday September 15th at 9 a.m. EDT at the Glenn Gould Studio // CBC Broadcast Centre.

MOBILEINNOVATIONWEEK is officially recognized by more than 15 global mobile and digital media trade organizations, and is supported by more than 50 corporate sponsors, media partners and individual volunteers.

Keynote speakers featured during MOBILEINNOVATIONWEEK include Mike Wehrs, President and CEO of the Mobile Marketing Association; Christy Wyatt, Vice President, Software Experiences and Ecosystem, Motorola; Bernard Lord, President and CEO of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association and Ralph Simon, Chair emeritus of the Mobile Entertainment Forum.

The Co-Chairs for MOBILEINNOVATIONWEEK are mobile and digital media innovators Michael O'Farrell, Co-Founder, Zameen Group; Gary Schwartz, President and CEO, Impact Mobile and Shawn Pucknell, Director, FITC.
