Clean the World Partners With Royal Caribbean Cruises to Bring Supplies for Haiti Earthquake Relief

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwire - January 26, 2010) - In an effort to provide much needed supplies to Haitian earthquake victims Clean the World has partnered with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

Since July 2009, Clean the World has been focused on delivering recycled soap to Haiti as part of an overall mission to help prevent disease in improvised countries. Now, with the need for aid compounded by the tragic earthquake more organizations are working with Clean the World to provide aid.

"We are continuing our efforts to collect hotel soap for recycling as part of the overall plan for aid to earthquake victims," said Shawn Seipler, executive director of Clean the World. "But now, people in Haiti are really hurting. We are taking all kinds of supplies, not just soap."

Dr. Ted Kaplan, the founder of the Cap Haitien Health Network and advisory board member of Clean the World, has been working here in the U.S. to collect medical supplies. "We are asking that anyone who can donate medical supplies please bring them to Clean the World's facility in Orlando (8026 Sunport Drive, Ste 306 Orlando, FL. 32809) and they will aid in getting them to Haiti," said Kaplan.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines

Royal Caribbean International provided cargo space on their ship Freedom of the Seas which sailed from The Port Canaveral on Sunday, January 24, 2010. The ship is expected to dock in Labodi, Haiti on January 27. From there, Clean the World will be working with the Cap Haitien Health Network to ensure the supplies are distributed to those in need.

With the extraordinary ongoing help of Royal Caribbean Cruises, Clean the World hopes to help the thousands of refugees pouring into the Cap Haitien region from Port-au-Prince.

As Clean the World receives information from the ground in Haiti, they will continue to update Twitter, Facebook and their blog at
