Clifton Star Resources Inc.: Company Update

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 30, 2007) - Clifton Star Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CFO) -

Fred Archibald, vice president of exploration announces that a contract has been let for deep core drilling of a minimum of 3,000 meters with Chibougamou Diamond Drilling Ltd. The program is anticipated to commence on Oct the 30th. A total of four holes will be drilled beneath the underground workings at the Duquesne Mine at approximately 100 meters below the ninth level to intersect historical drill-indicated resource averaging 13.3g/t Au level. These holes will be spaced 80 meters apart to delineate Veins 10, 20 and 30 at depth. Further delineation of the Nippissing Zone is pending assay results from drilling and surface channel sampling.

A total of 2,086,946 grams of gold has been mined from the Duquesne Mine with the majority being mined from Vein 20. Historical inferred resource estimates from 1991 stand at 1,540,511 tonnes averaging 6.03 g/t Au. The data is presently being digitized and new tonnage estimates will be revised and updated within the next two weeks.

The Duquesne Mine is located along the Destor Porcupine fault in the Rouyn-Noranda area of Quebec.

The Company further reports that it is in the process of vetting other gold bearing properties in the area for potential acquisition.

William Schmidt the long standing director has announced his retirement from the board and the Company wishes to thank Mr. Schmidt for his service.

The board has also appointed Harry Miller of Bellevue, Washington as President of the Company. Mr. Segounis retains his seat on the board.
