Coastal Contacts Receives Prestigious Customer Service Award

Coastal Contacts Inc. (TSX:COA) is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary in Europe, Lensway was nominated for the third consecutive year and awarded first place at the annual European Q-Survey awards for customer service. Lensway is the leading direct to consumer retailer of contact lenses in Europe.

Q-Survey is a European company offering benchmarking and quality assurance of call center services through surveys and analysis. The relevant judgment criteria for the competition included general attitude, treatment of customers, commitment, accuracy, knowledge of products, initiative and efficiency. Companies are judged by professional evaluators who make 200 phone calls to each of the competing companies. Lensway was set apart from the competition due to its consistency of service across multiple languages servicing numerous markets throughout Europe.

While the award is for Sweden, for internal benchmarking purposes the company was also measured with 80 additional phone calls for Norway, Finland and Germany. The numbers for all three countries showed the same outstanding performance as for Sweden. Some of the numbers for Norway were the best ever measured by Q-Survey.
