Coates Makes Significant Progress and Gears Up for Wealth Expo

WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ--(Marketwire - October 11, 2007) - George J. Coates, Chief Executive Officer of Coates International, Ltd. (OTCBB: COTE), announced that the Company has geared up for the upcoming opportunity to exhibit its revolutionary Coates spherical rotary valve ("CSRV") technology at the Wealth Expo next week being held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City from October 19 to October 21, 2007. Sponsors of this event include WallSt.net, Shell, BP, Jet Blue, Proctor & Gamble, Sanofi Aventis and First Trust.

The timing of this event could not have been better as the company has made significant and meaningful progress over the last period towards achieving its milestones for meeting its 2007 fiscal year objectives.

On some occasions the Company cannot divulge its success to the general public when it involves new breakthrough innovations until after the novel new designed component is fully registered with the United States Patent Office to protect the new innovation. This new invention directly relates to the Coates Industrial Electric Power Generators. The Company will announce the updates shortly.

We are extremely pleased that we will have this opportunity to put some of our products and technology on display, including the Coates CSRV engine, which runs on a variety of fuels including raw natural gas and landfill gas, our heavy cruiser motorcycles with engines incorporating the Coates CSRV technology, and our newly designed high performance racing engine. This will provide an opportunity to generate increased exposure for the Company and our technology to interested parties, customers and business partners. We intend to demonstrate our technology and its compelling advantages over conventional internal combustion engine technology. We will also promote the environmentally friendly benefits. Because our technology offers so many alternative fuel choices to power our engines, including hydrogen, methanol and biodiesel, among others, we believe widespread acceptance in our markets would contribute to the reduction of the United States dependency on imported foreign oil.

George Coates has also been invited to be a featured speaker at the Expo, along with keynote speakers Newt Gingrich, Ph D, former speaker of the US House of Representatives and Charles V. Payne, Chairman of Wall Street Strategies, Inc.
