Comaplex Provides an Update on the Meliadine West Exploration Program

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 13, 2007) -

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWSWIRE SERVICES OR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES

Comaplex Minerals Corp. (TSX:CMF) is pleased to provide an update on the last of the drill results from the 2007 surface exploration program on the Meliadine West gold property near Rankin Inlet, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The property is owned 78% by Comaplex and 22% by Meliadine Resources Ltd., with Comaplex having an option to increase to 80%.

2007 Drill Program
------------------

The surface drill program on the Meliadine West property was completed on August 26 with a total of 21,758 meters in 102 holes completed on budget (including 17 geotech holes for site infrastructure work). All of the drilling was completed on the Tiriganiaq deposit. The object of this year's program was predominantly an infill program to upgrade the resource status and to increase the understanding of the deeper parts of the deposit. Meterage was also allocated to shallow drill testing of both the western and eastern potential open pit areas of the Tiriganiaq deposit, as well as the uppermost portion of the main deposit.

Results from the first 59 holes were released in Comaplex press releases 07-08, 07-09, 07-11 and 07-12. This release details the assay results from the final 26 drill-holes of the program. Of these 26 holes, four tested the area of the deposit that will be targeted in the underground program, one hole tested the deep central portion of the Tiriganiaq deposit, five tested the Western Deeps part of the deposit, and 16 holes tested the shallow east, central, and west pit areas of the deposit. Infill drilling results from the west plunging Western Deeps extension of the Tiriganiaq deposit indicates significant gold concentrations at depth. While wandering of the drill-holes over these depths makes infill drilling difficult, widely spaced holes near and around previously released exploration drill-hole 04-531A (188.2 g/t gold over 16.2m) recovered wide intersections with good gold grades (holes 695, 700, 714A and 719). Drilling in this part of the deposit also strongly supports the presence of multiple gold bearing lodes at depth, consistent with the main deposit. Drill hole 696 and other previously released 2007 holes indicate continuity of the main deposit into the Western Deeps zone. The deposit is open to depth.

Drill-holes into the shallow margins of the Tiriganiaq deposit were also completed with success. Good gold grades over appreciable widths were recovered in the eastern pit area (holes 697 and 698). The western pit area is a relatively new target of lower gold grade material that may add potential gold resources to the project.

As previously mentioned, the delay in getting results from the lab has impacted Comaplex's schedule for getting both a new resource estimate completed and in ongoing scoping level studies. Work will now concentrate on incorporating the new drill information into the model and completing a new resource estimate. Drilling results in the shallow pit areas will need to be assessed and potentially incorporated into the ongoing scoping study work. Timing is now such that underground information could also be included into the scoping study. Decisions on these issues will be determined and reported as the work progresses.

Underground Exploration Program Commences
-----------------------------------------

Underground work on the exploration decline into the Tiriganiaq deposit is well underway. As of the date of this release, there has been approximately 100 meters of advance down the decline. We expect to access the first mineralized lode sometime in January 2008. The underground program as planned and permitted is expected to continue for approximately nine months.

New Appointment within the Company
----------------------------------

Comaplex is pleased to report the addition of Mr. Andrew Saltis, I. Eng., to the Company in the position of Mining Operations Manager. Mr. Saltis is a professional mining engineer with extensive experience in underground mining operations in Canada and internationally, including northern projects (Jericho). Mr. Saltis also has extensive experience in heavy civil construction. This mix of experience will be advantageous to the company. Mr. Saltis will be managing the daily engineering activities of the Company and will assist in the development of the Tiriganiaq deposit as the project advances towards feasibility.

Supplies for the 2008 field season are already in Rankin Inlet and will be mobilized to site over the winter. The Company will continue to assess its options in advancing this project.

Doug Dumka, P.Geo. is the Chief Geologist for Comaplex Minerals and is the Senior Project Geologist and designated Qualified Person (Q.P.) for the Meliadine West Project. Mr. Dumka supervised drill hole planning, implementation and quality control/quality assurance programs at the Meliadine West project for 2007.

Drill core analysis is performed on cut, half NQ core with standard fire assay procedures and a gravimetric finish (2 assay ton, 1000 gram pulp). QA/QC programs employ the insertion of external standards (low to high grade Au), blanks, and core duplicates every 20 samples. All assaying was completed by TSL Laboratories Ltd. based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. TSL completes its own internal QA/QC by inserting a standard, blank, pulp duplicate, and coarse reject duplicate in every batch of 20 analyses. QA/QC compliance was rigorously checked on a continuous basis during the exploration program.

Unless otherwise noted, meterage provided is measured down hole and intersection widths are interpreted to be approximately 80% of true width.

The TSX has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the

adequacy or accuracy of this release.
