Compost distribution - Compost made from the company's sorting-composting process distributed during a public event

SOREL-TRACY, QC, May 30 - Over the weekend, Conporec Inc.
("Conporec" or the "Company")(TSX VENTURE:CNP) held its first public compost distribution. More
than 180 people came to get their share of the 25 tonnes of compost available
for citizens of the area. To help hold this popular activity, Conporec
established a partnership with the Sorel-Tracy Réalité Jeunesse Corporate
Training and Recovery Centre (CFER), an organization whose aim is the work
integration of high-school students; CFER is a long-time partner of Conporec.
On site, citizens getting compost were invited to contribute financially to

This activity was especially important for Conporec as this was its first
distribution of compost produced from the region's waste. Citizens
participating to the event were impressed with the high quality of the
compost. Conporec's Vice-president - Products and Environment, Mr. Denis
Potvin, agronomist, was present at the distribution. "After ten years spent in
research and development, the efforts we made now allow us to distribute very
good quality compost; this is a remarkable achievement. Citizens in the area
can now be proud to have contributed to closing the loop by returning their
organic waste to their gardens", stated Mr. Potvin at the end of the activity.

In doing so, Conporec demonstrates the environmental efficiency and
effectiveness of its approach. With the growing recognition of its composting
and sorting-composting technologies and its four plants in operation or in
construction, the Conporec technologies are regularly cited as examples. "We
are negotiating with several regions in Quebec and elsewhere in the world to
implement our technology, which remains one of the most advanced and
performing. The citizens of the Sorel-Tracy area have just witnessed the
results of our technology", said Mr. Jean Beaudoin, President and CEO of the
company. "The implementation of our various waste recovery technologies not
only generate value for our shareholders but are also coherent with
sustainable development principles", he specified.

Given its success, Conporec is now planning to hold this type of activity
every year at its Sorel- Tracy plant.
