Compugen's Harry Zarek Named Global Partner Executive MVP at VMware Partner Exchange 2010

Virtualization Strategy Helps Canadian Enterprises Save on Datacentre, Desktop Costs and Yields Green IT Benefits

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 9, 2010) - Compugen announced today that it was recognized by VMware as a recipient of a VMware Partner Network Award, winning the Global Partner Executive MVP category. The award was presented at VMware Partner Exchange 2010, VMware's annual partner event, on Feb. 9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

"Compugen works closely with VMware to deliver state-of-the-art improvements in desktop and server efficiency," said Harry Zarek, Compugen's President and CEO. "Our VirtualONE(TM) virtualization practice has addressed pressures to consolidate hardware in the datacentre, improve management of virtualized environments and efficiently and flexibly provision the hardware and software. I'm flattered that the global executive recognition has come to me. It's of course recognition of a great team with commitment across all areas of our organization, from sales and marketing to management, technical skills and engineering smarts. And let's not forget that it takes two teams to form a great partnership. We appreciate and acknowledge the VMware team in Canada and the US for its creativity and flexibility in helping us find the right virtualization solutions for our clients."

Compugen has crafted solutions using VMware technology to reduce datacentre sprawl and complexity, consolidate servers and improve the management of datacentre environments. Spinoffs in addition to improved management and reduced costs include a significant reduction in power consumption in the datacentre and corresponding improvements in the green profile of the business.

Compugen's virtualization strategy involves VMware products for server consolidation, business continuity and disaster recovery, desktop management and control and virtual laboratory automation.

"VMware's partners continue to be the bedrock of our business, and we are pleased to recognize the great work they have accomplished throughout the year," said Doug Smith, senior director, global partner sales, VMware. "VMware Partner Exchange brings partners together for four days filled with training, education and networking with peers - making this the premier event to help them strengthen their virtualization practices and distinguish themselves in the marketplace. We congratulate Compugen, and we look forward to continuing our work together to help deliver virtualization solutions for customers building private cloud infrastructures."
