Conporec issues shares in favour of Desjardins and Investissement Québec

SOREL-TRACY, Feb. 2 - M. Jean Beaudoin, President and CEO of
Conporec Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CNP) Today announces that in line with the financing of $1.8M granted
to Conporec by Mouvement Desjardins and Investissement Québec, the Company
issued 694,467 new common shares for their benefit on January 26th 2006. This
new issue is part of the financing agreement and is linked to the first loan
instalment of $1,388,933. In accordance with the respective lenders'
participation, Desjardins receives 510,279 shares and Investissement Québec
184,188 shares.

Conporec Inc. treats and reclaims solid waste through various patented
composting and sorting-composting processes. Those processes can reduce land
filling by treating 100% of organic content, thus contributing to reclaim up
to 75% and to reduce greenhouse gas releases. The Company operates a plant in
Sorel-Tracy and recently inaugurated its second plant (New York State, US). A
third plant is currently under construction in France (suburban Paris).
